Harut Effect

The Harut Effect is a social-psychological phenomenon where a person says “You’re right,” while internally disagreeing.
Sometimes it’s strategic or sarcastic, and other times it's reflexive — even unconscious.
In some cases, the speaker isn’t aware of the contradiction between their words and their actual thoughts.
The term also applies when someone agrees with you verbally but clearly believes you’re wrong inside.

Person A: "Honestly, I think the Earth is flat."
Person B: (internally shocked but avoiding debate)
"Yeah, you’re right."
That’s the Harut Effect in action.

KenKoh Effect

The Ken-Koh Effect- the natural law that whenever something doesn't work and you want to show it someone it always seems to resolve itself when the second party shows up.
I took my car into the shop because it was making a grinding sound, but the KenKoh Effect struck again and the repairman couldn't hear the problem sound!

The program wasn't working but then Paul walked by and BOOM! Everything worked perfectly! The KenKoh Effect strikes again.

After Effects

Video compositing software developed by Adobe. It is the second most hated program after Premiere Pro, due to its poor outdated rendering engine and slow rendering times.
Use Fusion Studio or Apple Motion instead of After Effects

Davos Effect

The Davos effect refers to when two high status people walk towards each other with no idea who is higher or should get out of the other's way.

It happens in environments where there are very high status people but with no hierarchical context or idea of who the others are.

The term was coined for the World Economic Forum (WEF), held in Davos. Because high status attendees are not allowed to bring an entourage, no one knows who is higher in status and they habitually walk into each other because everyone refuses to give way.
Those two CEOs just showed the Davos Effect, they walked directly into each other, neither knew who should get out of the other's way!
