The Gaster Effect (Undertale term) is when a person mistakenly links anything slightly mysterious, or anything slightly resembling Gaster (leitmotifs, font or face) relating to Undertale or Deltarune, to the character W.D. Gaster, even if it is very hard. This is usually because Gaster is very mysterious and of a certain significance to said games' lore. In most cases, relating things to Gaster is not appropriate for the situation and/or possibly misleading.
A: Woah that new Deltarune song has Gaster's Theme playing at 0:44! If you listen to the piano...
B: Those are just arpeggios. You've got the Gaster Effect

Get the Gaster Effect mug.An unofficial branch off Chaos Theory, where the aftermaths produced from slight disturbances are observed in a phenomenon in which a sensitive system that is influenced by factors from such disturbances produce patterns that are irregular and entropic; resembling the shape of the organic branches or a fractal, maybe both.
From the patterns of water erosion engraved on earth, wave-like veins of a river, root-like systems in lightning and laminar smoke rising into turbulent mayhem all exhibit the Turbulent Tree Effect.
The Turbulent Tree Effect is not only confined within physical reality, it rather branches out to an evergrowing tree of mapped theoretical or probabilistic circumstance.
-
From the subtle shifts of sand and stone,
to the swirling streams of blue and green.
From the jagged forks of fire and light,
to the rising plumes of black and white;
All reveal a hidden truth unseen.
Where the slightest change can cause a storm,
where the order breaks into the wild,
where the systems bend and twist and split,
where the patterns grow and branch and fit.
All reflect a complex beauty mild.
Not just bound by nature's laws and forms;
but extending to the realms of thought.
Where the outcomes branch from every choice,
where the possibilities rejoice.
All connect a cosmic web of naught.

Get the Cheikh effect mug.The strange experience of finding your relatively uncommon name in the Urban Dictionary with a very specific definition that seems to relate to your life. A modern-day horoscope of sorts, finding your name on Urban Dictionary and thinking "haha yeah that's me," then considering if the entry could have actually been made for you. A form of cognitive bias in the digital age... or is it?
Alano: Hey, look at this entry in the Urban Dictionary. I wonder if it's actually about me!
Friend: No way, there are probably tons of other Alanos. You're just getting hit by The Urban Name Effect.
Alano: I can't believe my name's also used as a euphemism for Alcoholics Anonymous, damn it.

Get the The Urban Name Effect mug.When trying to call attention to the flaws of an opponent only to have your own flaws "outed" as a result of personal digging. Similar to the Streisand Effect in the legal community, the Germ Effect calls attention to yourself in an unwanted and unanticipated fashion. The phrase is derived from the great "2011 Yahoo Fantasy Football thread between 'Coach Germ' and 'Teddy Ruxpin.'"
Coach Germ tried to give me shit me for my 17th round pick, but upon taking a look at his team, his antics had "The Germ Effect" when it was discovered that he has 3 #4 wide receivers and 3 running backs who are time-shares.
