pep band

A band that attends basketball games and, at the collegiate level, hockey games and plays renditions of popular or well-known songs to "pump up" the crowd. Often, the Pep Band will be comprised of flutes, clarinets, saxophones, trumpets, trombones, and tubas, and the drum/rhythm section will include a drum set, a drumline, or a combination of both. Often, the Pep Band is confused with the marching band by those who may not know the difference. The Pep Band is often led by the school's music director, or a drum major.

Sgt. pepper's lonely hearts club band

1.) A Beatles album in released in 1967. Viewed by many as the most influential album of all time and the #1 greatest album on the Rolling Stone Top 500 Albums list. A concept album in which the Beatles played as the band in Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club, with members such as Billy Shears and the Hendersons.

2.) When an album is considered the greatest in it's genre.

"SPLHCB was one of the greatest albums ever!"

"You have to buy 'What's Going On?'. It's the Sgt. Peppers of soul albums."

marching band

its you social life and when the season is over u have to find things to do its also....the coolest sport u could ever imagine to be in......which ppl rarely ever pay attention to which just shows us that half the ppl cant even handle the hard work we put into it... if ur not in marching band u couldnt last one day on the field

band geek

A band geek by definition is:
1. A person who calls the band hall their second home.
2. Has the ability to play 5 or more instruments.
3. Participates in musicals, ignoring the long hours of torture, but enjoying it thoroughly.
4. Dates other band geeks.
5. Has no problem repeating things.
6. Has no problem repeating things.
7. Will skip other classes to be in the band.
8. Are always happy, or appear to be, no matter how bad things get.
9. Are the coolest people in school.
10. Are always having fun, through playing, dating, having sex, etc...
11. 200 times better than "orch dorks" and "choir queers" combined, and they know it.

The band geek appears to be a normal student... Until they enter the band hall...

Band Games

Games played on the football (or other) field that make sense to band members and no one else, or are used as an irritant for band directors.

After a light rain when the field is slightly damp and other band games are exhausted, some band kids play the Art Band Game: they shuffle their feet around the field to make outlines of vulgar sentences and pictures that the band directors can see when standing at the top of the stands.

Favored types of art are things such as ovaries or penises.

Band Stalker

1. A non-band kid that really wants to be in band but cannot play an instrument.

2. Hangs around the band room with the band kids.

3. Believes they're good buddies with the band director, but in reality, the band director doesn't know him.

4. Shows up to band performances uninvited.

5. Tries to sit with the band at football games, but ends up getting kicked out by the band kids themselves.

Band geek 1: Dude, who invited HIM to our competition?

Band geek 2: I don't know, but he's such a band stalker.
