I dare say

Newfoundlanders use this as a response to gossip, news, information. Also means the same as "oh really?", "No way!", "you got to be kidding me" etc.

Also used in forming a sentence involving a question or wondering.
1.Lucy: I think Sue is having a party tomorrow night.
Meg: I dare say?

2.Chuck: I dare say I will be going to Sue's party.
Bill: I dare say? I will see ya there then.

that's not what I asked

The ultimate come back and douche bag saying in any applicable situation.

It can properly be said at any time the yes/no question asked is not directly and simply answered with a "yes" or in some instances, a "no."

This saying may or may not be accompanied with a sacktap.
James: "Hey Nick did you buy beer for tonight?"
Nick: "Well I went to the liquor store but I didn't have my wall--"
James: "That's not what i asked dipshit" (followed by a sacktap)

I Like Peas

Generic phrase used to answer a question or respond to a situation in a meaningless bland manner.

Inevitably, the user of this phrase seems stupid.
Hey Bob, what's your stance on the political situation in Libya?

I read somewhere

Saying "I read somewhere" has now become a phrase which translates to "I saw on Facebook". This is used to show your vast knowledge of current events, but hide the fact that you are addicted to Facebook.
Dan: Hey man I read somewhere that Chris is getting kicked out of school...

Reid: Funny you should mention that cause that was his Facebook status just last night...

I hate this guy

I hate this guy/(and or you)
In the world of not texting back this is a means of a romantic gesture, using the term " I hate you" actually is a way of expressing "I like/love you". As was previously mentioned, girls with trust issues are too scared to love, so they show said emotion through acts of hate.
Girl: I hate you.

Guy: I know I know I hate you too, let’s get married.
Girl: June 6 work?
Guy: yeah I should still hate you then

Girl: omg I hate this guy
