Detroit roll

Noun. Pronounced "DEE-troyt roll"

A stack of bills, usually with a very large one, like a one hundred dollar bill, wrapped around the outside of about fifty one dollar bills. Effectively gives other people the impression that you are filthy rich when in fact all you have is one Benjamin and a bunch of Washingtons.

Jim wanted to look like he was ballin' so he whipped out his Detroit roll. Little did everyone know it was just a bunch of ones strategically wrapped in drug money.

Term, first coined on the show Friends, to describe a technique of getting enough space to sleep after cuddling with your girlfriend.

ROSS: Okay, you're in bed. She's over on your side, cuddling. Now you wait for her to drift off, and then you hug her and roll her back over to her side of the bed. And then you rollll a-way. Hug for her! Roll for you.
CHANDLER: Okay, the old hug and roll.
