pwned

Pronounced "pawned". A word to be used when describing a defeating occuance, when owned just doesn't cut it. More powerful than owned. Did not nesessarily start when an individual player misspelled it, but numerous players online kept overshooting the "O" on their keyboard and hit "P" instead.

"Dude, I totally got pwned by this haX0r last night playin C-Strike."

"Man, I totally pwned this nub last night, he was tryin to be 1337 like me"

pwned:v,past-tense;
After the rise of the term "owned" amungst multiplayer-gaming communitees the subsequent "pwned" was coined within prevelant multiplayer circles. The term is to bestow a level of dishonor upon its victim suggesting that the loser was owned in such a way that "it skipped the o and went straight to the p!!" However the existence of further slanders such as "qwned" and "rwned" are purely fictional.

past-tense:

present-tense:

Pwned

Player Owned. A more recently and upgraded version of 0wned. Acceptable in limited circumstances. Thought by many to be started in Starcraft, Still others believe it started in Quake, and a few people believe in started on Everquest.

Uber-Pwned

Something that happens when someone is being beaten by double their score or more. Originated in Modern Warfare 2: Free-For-All. The person that did this is now allowed to brag about it and make fun of the person and the other guy can't say anything because everyone knows he sucks at the game.

Joe: "Dude! I totally uber-pwned this one guy!"
Ben: "Really? What was the score?"
Joe: "I got 1500 and the other guy got 750."
Ben: "Nice!"

Ben: "Dude I just got uber-pwned. The guy got 1500 and I only got 400."
Joe: "Wow you must really suck."

Pwned originated in Counter Strike when somebody was so ridiculosly owned that the guy stopped to type, "owned". But he was so dumbfounded by how hard he head raped this guy that he pressed "P" instead of "O". So pwned basically means so fucking owned its crazy and j00 g37 m4j0r1y 0wn3d s0 h4rd th4t 1t5 PWN3D.

Chris was walking down the street when all of a sudden a goose came up and chomped on his face. After this a shoeless jogger ran up to him, footsweeped him, then punched him in the stomach. The jogger then proceeded to scream "PWNED" as loud as he could in this mans face. After the incident the jogger continued on as if nothing had happened.



Sorry Chris, you got pwned.
