Garlic Tunes

Referring to a pungent genre of music that is inspired by the culinary world, with songs and rhythms that evoke the sensory experience of cooking with garlic or the atmosphere of a garlic festival. Think of it as a repellent for vampires, where the sounds and melodies act as strong and aromatic like a real garlic dish.
I collectively cringed when someone played Garlic Tunes on the stereo, a genre I detested for its association with garlic.

burble tune

A modification done to a vehicle, which intentionally causes the vehicle to backfire (unburnt fuel entering the exhaust). Unlike other forms of automotive tuning, a burble tune offers no gains in horsepower or fuel efficiency, and is in fact more likely to cause catastrophic engine damage and accelerate wear and tear.

Often done by teenage poser car guys who are too broke to afford mods that would actually increase the performance of their vehicle.

While a proper, high-performance tune may cause a car to backfire more than stock due to running more fuel and boost, a burble tune is specifically done only for the bops and bangs caused by a backfiring.

Person 1: look at that POS GTI! It's backfiring like crazy, must not be running right
Person 2: nah, it's running fine, asshole just has a burble tune
Person 3: running fine? with a burble tune? Not for long...

"music on hold"-grade tune

Refers to a somewhat-"tame"/boring and/or repetitive musical composition that is "okay", but definitely nothing special or "memorable" --- it would merely be something that you might wanna half-listen to while waiting for someone to pick up/get back to you on the phone, be serenaded with over a store's PA system while shopping, or have for soothing your impatience when riding a slow elevator.
The NYC Greyhound station plays light-classical music over the ceiling-speakers to help its patrons to while away the long boring hours during bus-layovers; I appreciate it that they don't simply toss "music on hold"-grade tunes at you for extended periods.

Valley of the Tunes

The Sonoma Valley, in northern California, is sometimes called the Valley of the Moon. This is derived from its slightly crescent shape. Because the valley is home to a very lively music scene, the area is also cleverly called the Valley of the Tunes.
Dude, I'll be in Sonoma; we have a gig in the Valley of the Tunes this Saturday.
