A sproit is a well known species of Mongolian Mongoose. The sproit is one of the most intelligent animals in the natural world, sometimes considered more intelligent than humankind. Sproits are known for their incredibly witty and cheeky nature. For this reason, very intelligent people with a good sense of timing with witty answers are sometimes nicknamed after the sproit. "Sproit" is also ironically called out when an extremely unintelligent comment is made.
