Get the Local PlayGroundmug. Phrase used by British football fans against people who do not live close to the vicinity of the location of the team that they support. Normally used as a way to gatekeep club support by implying fans who live locally are better supporters than foreign fans.

Get the Support your localmug. In Australia, the #local is the nearest pub. It is also someone accepted as a true member of the community. They work together; one determines the other.
Am I a #local, yet? In my #local it is "You're only a #local if you've been here 40 years, and even then, only if we say you are. So #STFU". Of course I don't; they listen & they might reply now & again; they put up with me; but I don't have the years in me to become a true #local.
