College Massage

A vigorous kneading or rubbing of one person's body, most frequently the shoulders and back, by the hands of a friend or acquaintance. Usually exchanged between college or high school students with seemingly platonic motivations. Sometimes preceded by a light comfort stroke of reassurance.

Joe: "Boy, you look sore, Sarah. Why don't I help relax those achy muscles?" <Moves to place his hands on her shoulders>
Sarah: "No dice - I can see through your pathetic attempt at a college massage, Joe, and I'm not interested."

(v.) any action that impedes or stalls another's admission into college

(n.) Since we both wanted to get into Brown, Bob (and his high SAT score) acted as a college block to my ambitions.

(v.) Bob college blocked me by telling the Brown admissions representative/interviewer that I had cheated to get through high school.

College Graduate Dichotomy

When a person graduates from college, although they have a degree they may not be able to get a job because they don’t have experience. But, they can’t get experience unless they get a job.

The term was first coined by Dain Lewis on his blog the smart college grad.

Jack graduated from college with a degree in business. But, Jack didn't work at any businesses while in college. Jack then couldn't get a job after college because he didn't have experience. But, he couldn't gain any experience because no one would hire him. Jack found himself in the college graduate dichotomy.
