Shift Case

A person who exhibits extremely shifty behaviour (IE: Looking around excessively, wearing baggy clothing when it's warm out, sweating, shaking, breathing heavily, etc.). Usually turns out to be either some sort of sex offender, a shoplifter, or both.
"Dude, did you see the Shift case who just left our store? He smelled like... rotting onions. I wonder what he stole?"

Someone who is considered like a sorry pitiful case who is for example lonely, depressed, going through problems, doesn’t have many friends, by themselves a lot and people only talk to that one person because they just feel bad and feel like they should just to be nice
If you treat me like I’m a sorry case, I won’t like you because the only reason you’re talking to me is because you take pity on me and feel bad.

n. a crime or criminal case that attracts a lot of (media) attention. Usually the crime has unsolved or unanswered motives surrounding the victim or perpetrators.

Short form may also be referred to as 'heater'.
The person was buried under a frenzy of clicking cameras, providing a final act in a heater case.
