If you are not from the Montreal area, and you stay for longer than just a visit, you may be affected by the "Montreal Effect". The Montreal Effect is recognizable by it's taking over of a previously patient and soft tempered personality. Once it's effect have acted on a new Montreal resident, the person shows symptoms of agressiveness on the road, loss of patience, and selfishness.
