Redneck is a lifestyle. not all rednecks are from the south, a redneck can be anywhere thats rural.not all rednecks live in trailor parks. most rednecks are literate and dont have sex with their family memebers. besides half of the royal family in th 1800s had diseases from incest. redneck should be defined as a glorious absence of sophistication. and yes i know wut redneck is because i am from alabama and i would consider myself a redneck but i can read, im not fat, i dont have sex with my cousins, and im not in the kkk.

redneck

A redneck is a country bumpkin who lives in flatter areas of the US like the Great Plains and coastal plains while hillbillies are people living in more hilly and/or mountainous areas. Rednecks and hillbillies aren't only found in the South, they are also found in the Northeast, Midwest, and West Coast too. In fact, Vermont which is a Northeastern state is made entirely of rednecks and hillbillies.

Rednecks are hard working people that are only made fun of by stupid nerds that sit on their computers and jack off to anime porn.

an offensive term usually related to farmers busting their asses to give the other americans food, and have a redneck from working in the sun.
also usually incorporated with a fat guy holding a beer, missing several teeth, having a broken down home, and holding a beer(i.e. Larry the cable guy)
and contrasting to popular beliefs, most of the people in Texas DON'T look like that

ricer redneck

a person with bad taste and little knowledge of nice cars that believes they can join the "import scene" with their busted-ass cars (usually a slow domestic or very old import). they proceed to then add usually cheap (see: American Products Company) aftermarket parts to include loud mufflers, the biggest cheapest spoiler, windshield washer LED's, altezza tailights, light up tire valves, an array of stickers from companies who wouldn't even talk to them about sponsorship, and maybe even nice rims. these individuals will drive arround in their junk cars and believe they are cool and chicks/guys are checking out their cool cars when in fact they are glad they aren't in the car with them being laughed at also.

cool guy 1: man, did you hear that ricer redneck drive by?
cool guy 2: how could i not? it sounded like he was driving a weed-eater at full throttle. i think he was late for work at the taco bell again.

Stereotype definition: A white person living in the south or midwest that dislikes minorities, enjoys nascar, hunting and sleeps with family members.

True Definition: A simple person living in a rural area, usually in the south or midwest who is hard working, hence the name redneck from being out in the fields working

I am from the North, New Jersey but I still know that most of the people in the south aren't like the stereotpe definition. A redneck is just a simple hardworking person, the other stuff is just stereotyping.
