Bands who sell merch at Hot Topic and pander to bandwhore teenage girls. They are cliche "pop punk" or "post hardcore" by title. They all sound alike and their fans like them for the sake of band fandom, hence why their fanbases are all like "omg bandz omg lelelele so coot"

Person #1: "Look at preppy guy wearing Abercrombie! God, I would never want to look like all THOSE people!

Person #2: "Yeah, let's go to hottopic and buy some baggy black pants and studded belts to really stand out!"

Abercrombi wearer: *Jams out to Napalm Death on his way to the bar to get some fine ass*

hot topic employee

some of the friendliest employees you'll ever meet.
They will come up and start talking to anyone like they are best friends.
They don't discriminate if you are wearing "non-dark" clothing...
So nice you almost feel like you are getting hit on

I went into Hot Topic in soccer shorts and track t shirt and the hot topic employees were still friendly with me.

I thought that hot topic guy was hitting on me until I found out it was all a part of his job. Those child predators lurking outside was another story...gross...

hot topic kid

An annoying immature preteen, teenager or young adult who thinks its cool to shop at hot topic and does so souly for that reason. They buy band tees of bands they've never even heard of, and think that wearing wristbands with posessed cartoons on them is all there is to life. Most will eventually grow out of this horrible stage of adolescence but some never do. Sad, but very true.

So I was in the mall, and all of a sudden I see this group of hot topic kids swarming around one of those kiosks that sold shirts with sarcastic messages printed across the front. It was like a swarm of flies on a dead carcas. Discusting.
