mosher...a person who wants to be different from the rest of the world and most importantly to NOT BE A SHEEP.
most 'moshers' today dont really follow this...but there are many that do as well.
they listen to puck/rock/metal anything that means something to them personally and that they can relate to. they can wear bright clothing if they want but its the music they listen to that matters to a real mosher...the clothing comes with the territory.
they are the cool people of today and shud not be forgotton anytime soon. nicknames...they stick with moshers

1. Any person into alternative/rock/metal music, a purgorative term designed for alienation of the other by scally/chav culture.

2. Reclaimed from the above, a name given to a muscially orientated sub-culture. Said culture being a mix of earlier Punk and Metal culture. The term originated with the culture following the collapse of nu metal from aminstream popularity in favour of metalcore, pop metal, punk pop and emo.

3. Reclaimed purgorative from the older underground sub-cultures, such as metallers, goths and punks. Terms those who claim identify with their sub-culture, but who have seemingly missed the point and do not listen to music deemed to be authentic, ans generally considered unable to mosh properly.

Moshers

Moshers are just really cool people who are slightly nutty and love to have fun. they don't care how stupid they act as long as their having fun. they like to wear baggy clothes and tops, and keep themselves covered up with not to much flesh on show, unlike tarty townies. they also dont brag about which guy they had last night or spread rumors of how bad their last boyfriend was in bed. they are really cool people who express their emotions through clothes and music

not a goth, but also not a townie. usualy someone who enjoys rock or punk, butdoesn't feel the need to be "labled". sadly, when the scalys came into being, they proceded to name anyone vaguely individual that listnes to anything that isn't "bangin chowns" a "mosher" thus defeating the inviduals attemp for individuality.

Moshing

There are many definitions for moshing on the urban dictionary, mostly involving metal heads. Nobody bothered with the punk side of moshing. Moshing at a punk show isn't beating people up, it's dancing out your anger, usually in a more violent form of skanking. It can involve things like spinning, jumping, and piggy back rides, usually in a circle pit. When you fall down in a mosh pit at a punk show, people help you up instead of trampling you. Tere is usually an unspoken code of conduct that everyone follows, except that one asshole that everyone hates. Moshing is really fun and stress relieving, and you sleep like a baby afterwards. You get bruises a lot of the time

I went to see the vandals last night and I moshed so had I slept for 18 hours. Moshing is so much fun!
