pommer's law

Pommer's law states: A person's mind can be changed by reading information on the internet.

The nature of this change will be from having no opinion to having a wrong opinion.
liberal arts college student: I just read an article that says war is good for the economy, that's why leaders start wars!
history college student: Pommer's law has gotten the best of you my misinformed friend.

Murphy's Law opportunist

Someone who utilizes the "reliable" bad-luck-causing syndrome of Murphy's Law by actually turning it his own benefit or that of his friends. Extra points if these other folks actually hire him for pay to "suffer on their behalf".
One excellent example of a Murphy's Law opportunist would be someone who hangs out his laundry to dry on an occasion when rain is desired.

Bert's Law of Forgetful Transactions

The probability of a finance manager forgetting to collect the down payment that is directly proportional to the size of the down payment and inversely proportional to the memory capacity of the involved manager.

Gibb's Second Law

Coined by Gibbs himself, it is short for 'Gibb's second law of relational-dynamics'

It states that:

Relationships between members in a squad will not last for long and when they do end they will tend towards the detriment of the squad as a whole and will probably involve a lot of angry paras sent over iMessage and/or Whatsapp.
Person 1: "Did you hear that Sarah and Matt broke up?"
Person 2: "Yeah, I had 374 unread messages on Whatsapp"
Person 1: "What can you do, it's just Gibb's Second Law!"

O'Driscoll's law

The feeling of self righteousness that someone gets when they believe they have won a debate, when in reality, their opposition didn't want to participate in conversation.
O'Driscoll, "the earth is flat, I can prove it"

Opposition, **shakes head and walks away for fear of wasting time trying to explain common sense to someone whose already advertised that they are out to lunch**

O'Driscoll then feels as though the person had no contest, no debate, no facts, and no backbone to stand up for yourself.

When in reality, the audience just didn't want to bother educating someone so far behind in sense.

This can also be applied to the situation where someone challenging another person to a fight, is met with reluctance and they attribute it to how strong or intimidating they must be, when in reality, no one wanted to fight them as it's a barbaric act.

O'Driscoll's law is being so ignorant towards your perception of why you're being avoided, that you attribute people avoiding you to your intelligence or other positive characteristics.

Rabbanian's Law of Confusion

Started out as a theory, but over the years has developed into a law: If you can't tell, it's always a man.
The bros were walking through the gay parade on Halloween and were overwhelmed by all the tits, when one of them remembered Rabbanian's Law of Confusion. They were all on high alert and realized any pair of those juicy titties could easily be accompanied by a set of dick and balls down low.

The Forty-Fifth Law

If a thread or conversation of any kind last long enough, it will always evolve into a thread about 45th President Donald Trump and things related to him
An example of "The Forty-Fifth law" is a thread on /an/ talking about which dog is the cutest, if given enough time the thread will be filled with people arguing about election fraud, calling each other racial slurs and accusations of having the inability of transitioning into a woman
