Coronacation

Travel ban being enforced from companies, schools, government, etc. due to the Coronavirus that’s forcing people to stay home and/or telework.

I’m on a Coronacation due to the travel ban so I’ll be attending the conference as virtual attendee.

Corona

Bedroom community for families. Clean, safe, with lots of shopping, plenty of housing and good access to freeways and trains. Also has some very upscale areas in the southern vicinity of the city, with golf courses up the wazoo.

Guy1: I'm looking for a nice place to buy a home for my family.

Guy2: Try Corona. It's clean, safe, and family friendly.

The name of an idol made up of wood or stone set up by Hindu priests to represent the “coronavirus goddess,” whose mercy they pray for to contain the pandemic—food and chant prayers are usually offered before the deity, which is bathed in turmeric water and milk.

Just as there are gods and goddesses for all kinds of diseases and plagues, Corona Devi is the latest virus goddess to be idolized in temples—probably the deadliest deity that demands weeks- or months-long abstinence, fasting, and sacrifice from priests before she showers mercy on them.
