Someone on social media (Instagram, YouTube, tiktok, etc.) that fits at least two of the following criteria:
1. Not many followers/subscribers/fans, even though they've been at it for awhile.
2. Feels the need to update their followers/subs OFTEN and about the most trivial things. They act like people are on the edge of their seats, waiting for updates on what they had for breakfast or if they slept well last night.
3. Most of what they post are photos/videos of themselves. It's obvious they love to look at their own face and/or hear their own voice.
4. IF they manage to get some sort of sponsor or deal with a brand, they are WAY too proud of it, as if they just won a gold medal at the Olympics or got to be on the cover of Vogue.
5. They boost their follower/sub count by following the page with their personal account and getting friends/relatives to follow. This especially shows in the comments when their bff from gradeschool or great aunt from New Hampshire FREQUENTLY leave little notes.
The most important factor that differentiates the wannabes from the real deal is that they do not possess that "it" factor that makes them enjoyable to watch/look at/follow. Whether it's personality, talent, or looks, they just don't captivate people.
What they don't lack one bit of is NARCISSISM. It's obvious they think they are all that. Zero self-awareness. Their "let me grace you with my presence" attitude is so cringe-worthy, it's repulsive.

Person A: "Did you hear that Alex is on tiktok now?"
Person B: "Lol yeah. YouTube was too much work, so he moved to tiktok. Did you see his H&M try-on haul? So cringey, he thinks he's so hot! He's such an influencer wannabe."

This is someone who thinks they are or wants to be a man slag. They refer to themselves as 'getting all the girls', when, in reality, they've slept with one maybe two easy girls.

According to NPB, every one of us is a shrenik wannabe, just because other people say so (even though they don't, NPB; what the fuck are you smoking?).
