Spelopede

A eusocial insectoid creature from the 2013 video game Rimworld which, in universe, originated on the planet Sorne, and were modified to combat the mechanoid threat. This specific type of insectoid is about the size of a sheep. They are immune to pollution and highly resistant to most toxins, and will not die from extreme cold, instead going into a quote, "wakeful hibernation." until the environment is suitable once again. They are quite intelligent, capable of learning how to haul things under human instruction, and can carry around 60 kilograms. They weigh in at about 48 kilograms, and have four legs, a head horn, a shell, and multiple body segments. They are aggressive to humans usually but can learn to trust you with food and quality time spent with them. Their main danger can come in numbers, alongside megaspiders and megascarabs, however, they can hold up a fight on their own, and should not be underestimated. Their life expectancy is about six years.
