His lyrics stand out from most punk/emo bands because they appear more sincere and it also seems like hes taken more than 4 seconds to think them up and put them into an order. He manages to escape the negative "emo" brand simply because his lyrics are not as self-indulgent and dragged out in delivery, not mentioning any names (MCR,FFTL).
