To be screwed over or otherwise lose out, you can be dilked by a boss if they take some of your tips, for example, or you can be dilked by chance if you buy nonrefundable tickets to a concert and it gets rained out.

Person one- "I think I ordered the wrong thing, I wanted a side of hummus with this and I got no side at all."
