Textplanation

When someone writes a comment on Facebook or Twitter that shocks everyone, but you know they are not going to spill the details so you just simply write the word

Did she real just say that.....Textplanation pls!

teensplaining

Similar to mansplaining but with a teenager who firmly believes he/she/they know everything, and are therefore obligated to explain it to you. Often accompanied with an eye roll followed by stomping and a door slam.

(Mom and Teenager watching Home Alone)
Teen: Mom, wait until you see what happens when the power goes out.

Mom: You mean when their phone lines are down?
Teen: Did know that phones went down back then?
Mom: Yes.
Teen: Well, it was because there weren't cell phones and they had phone calls go through wires.

Mom: I know. I was a kid at the time.

Teen: But this is different, Mom. You just don't understand! (Eye roll / stomp away)
Mom: I cannot believe he just teensplaining me about something I experienced 30 years before he existed! How does he think she automatically knows more than me and has to explain it?

Textplain

To try and explain something in a text message that requires substantial detail and often takes 5-10 text messages back and forth for clarification. In other words; textplaining is a waste of time.

The fool: "Hey what's up? What did you do this weekend, and what do you think about life as a concept in general?"
The victim: "Come'on now. To textplain this would be insane! Ante up and call"

To attempt to convey any concept of significant via some texting aparatus. This attempt is inevitably confounded by the limits of undersized digital buttons, autocorrection of words, numerous spelling errors, and the distance between the explainer and explanee.

Let's meet and talk about this; I simply can't texplain it!
