schizoid

Similar to a loner, but on a larger scale. They appear to be detached and emotionless, but they are still people. They have little regard for social norms. For more information, see loner.

*note: Schizoids are NOT schizophrenic. The similarity in name is because they basically mean 'split from society' and 'split up mind' respectively.
Jack is such a schizoid, I think he's some robot or something.

Government Schizophrenia

Government Schizophrenia is caused when a government enforces and supports two completely different policies that are blatantly contradictory.
The United States has "Government Schizophrenia" when it comes to it's policies regarding cannabis prohibition. According to the government's Controlled Substances Act, cannabis has no medicinal value, and is deemed a schedule 1 narcotic. While on the other hand the government patents it's cannabinoids from cannabis, claiming they have medicinal value.

schizo

An abbreviation of either schizoid, schizotypal or schizophrenic. Or more likely, a general insult used to imply someone is 'crazy'.

There's a set of diagnostic criteria for these disorders (readily available on Wikipedia). Schizophrenia is the most severe (actually a psychosis) and can be either 'positive'(characterised by mainly auditory hallucinations) or 'negative' (social withdrawal etc..). Schizoid personalities do not experience psychotic periods and are just people that are happy to live in their own world and for the most part, shun social contact. Schizotypals fall somewhere in between: they are withdrawn and don't have the hallucinations of the schizophrenics but they can be prone to odd paranoias and beliefs (for example, the belief that people can read minds).
Schizophrenic: "That guy over there hears aliens talking to him- total schizo!"

Schizotypal: "That guy over there thinks that people can read minds- total schizo!"

Schizoid: "That guy over there never says a word- total schizo!"

schizophotography

A portmanteau of schizophrenia and photography, schizophotography is deliberate disassociation with reality through photographic expression. Redefining "point and shoot", "snapshot". If the aim of photography is to remember then the aim of schizophotography is to remember what no one remembers. Mindless self-indulged photos. Beyond candid. Never posed, never using a tripod or straight angle. Forget focus, apertures, rule of thirds.
Kane came back from vacation, his photos blurry and pointless schizophotography.
