a misunderstood type of school system. Incorrectly assumed to be the worst, however they are just as good as private schools. Some leaders of industry hail from a public school. Majority of public school students are actually good citizens, but are overlooked.

Public school Student: I come from a public school.
Private School student: I pity you.
Public school Student: Nah, you shouldn't. My school is actually good. It has enabled us to grow a sense of camaraderie.

Public School

Contrary to popular opinion, a public school in the UK is NOT a government funded state school, but rather an elite, fee-paying independent school - more commonly known as simply a "private school". Originally they were called "public" as they were open to anyone no matter their location, profession or denomination, they have evolved into schools generally reserved for the middle-and-upper classes, although due to most of them being registered charities (for tax benefits), they are required to admit a small number of less well-off students on bursaries and scholarships. Fees as of early 2025, including the newly introduced VAT, generally range from £8K to £14K per term for day students.

Although public schools are independent schools, not all independent schools are public schools. Public schools are usually larger, more historic, more expensive and all-round more prestigious.

Public School Education

A school system that full of exaggerated claims, false hopes, and empty promises. The American public school system is a shitty school system. It is a school system that take in billions of dollars annually, pays no income taxes, and always needs more money. Public school education easily has the biggest bullshit story in the world. With that said most kids would agree that the American public school education system is completely incompetent and just doesn't even give a fuck. They don't give a fuck about kids. If everyone knew that than the American public school education system would be out on the loving, caring ass a long time ago.

This is why a homemaker cannot hold a candle to a high school principal. When it comes to believing in anything public school education says I tried. I really did try. I really did try to believe that public school education was the best education system in the world, I found out that public school education is nothing more that total bullshit. This is why I have a hostile view towards the American public school education system.

an insult used mainly by private school students or former private school students to call someone stupid. It implies that one belongs not only at public school, but in special education there.
