Montreat 

A small area in North Carolina. No, not at the beach. It's among the beautiful mountains. A conference where youth groups from all over come together for one week. Some favorites in Montreat:
-A creek you can rock-hop in which feeds into Lake Susan
-A manmade waterfall you're welcome to sit on, or if you're ADVENTUROUS enough, climb underneath!
-Huckleberry's Ice Cream
-The General Store
-The Montreat Conference Center
-The Inn
-The 'clubs' program for kids younger than high school
-Climbing Lookout Mountain to watch the sun rise

Youth groups look forward to that one week in June when they travel to Montreat all year.
Some youth groups have long 8 hour bus rides, some only drive for a few hours, and some actually come from the Carolinas, driving 45 minutes max.

"Hey, Morgan! Are you going to Montreat this year?"
"Yeah, Brynn! I can't wait! Only a few more weeks left!"
"Do you know which house we're staying in?"
"I don't know yet, ask Adam."
"I hope Hallie is coming."
"Richard told me that Hallie and Ben are both coming."
"The more the merrier! I'm saving my money for a trip to The General Store. My Montreat sweatshirt is getting too small for me and I want to have one for the rest of my life."
"Is Emily coming?"
"Emily always comes."
"I CAN'T WAIT FOR MONTREAT!"

Please you ignorant buffoons, you wouldn't know a great city from your ass (I am of course talking mainly to Big K man, who i assume is not actually very big, if you know what i mean (wink wink), and Adam B).

I don't know if i can capture the essence of Montreal quite as well as Kazzie but i will try.

First of all let me point out to all those marjuana enthusiasts that although Montreal may have some of the "best weed" there is far more to this mammoth of a city then just that.

Montreal is not only internationally renowned for remaining at the height of fashion, pop culture and social atmosphere but it is also one of the most, if not THE most ethnically and culturally diverse cities in north america. As a montrealer i pride myself on the fact that unlike the melting pot that is the US, Canada and specifically Montreal welcomes (and does not judge) all races, religions and cultures, all of whom have thriving communities in Montreal. Those "frenchies" as Adam B so eloquently put it are just part of the unbelievable atmosphere that the officially BILINGUAL city of Montreal has to offer.

By the by, Montreal is also home to world renowned Mcgill Univeristy and of course to the greatest hockey team of all time...the MONTREAL CANADIENS!

So don't judge a book by its cover and certainly don't judge Montreal by the opinions of "Big" K man and Adam B as scholarly and dignified a definition as they may have wrote.

Not to mention Montreal DOES have the finest looking people in the world, and that is no exageration people.

One of the best cities in north america, the city where canada's REAL heritage comes from. Easygoing people, a million festivals in summer, the most beautiful ladies in the world(even better than in brazil), stupid tourists that hate quebecois people and dare visit the french capital of north america where the sun never sets and you can buy beer at the corner store... sorry but it's the best city on the continent so if you hate french people or italians or any ethnicity, don't come!!

A liberal city where everyone knows how to have a good time!

Aside fromm being the best party city in North America, the people here in Montreal just know how to let lose and have a good time. For the most part they're easy-going (except for when in comes to driving) and friendly and welcoming to everyone.

Pittsburgh was Montreal-wooped because they suck!

Washington won the Presidents Trophy, yet, they were Montreal-wooped and upset by the 8th seed.
