Hoohah

The word "hoohah" was a running gag in the early years of Mad, often exclaimed by characters in the comic book issues written and edited by Harvey Kurtzman. Its somewhat Eastern European feel was a perfect fit for the New York Jewish style of the magazine. Kurtzman liked using Yiddish expressions and nonsense words to humorous effect, and the very first story in the first issue of Mad was even titled "Hoohah!" The word's precise origin is unknown, although it may have sprung from the Hungarian word for "wow," which is hűha 1).

Hoohee

A person who enjoys calling out "Hoohee" as a mating call to their soulmate. Mostly blonde, tall girls are known for doing this, creating a ritual of licking shoes after performing the mating call. Hoohee's are crazy and its best to stay away from tall, blonde girls as they may be a Hoohee.

"Hoohee! Hoohee!" called a tall blonde girl, then started licking shoes.
"Oh god," said another girl, "We've found ourselves a Hoohee"
"Where is he? Where is my love?" the tall blonde girl asked as she continued licking shoes.
"I'm here!" says a guy, starting with T, running towards her.
"You answered my call!"
