a take off of the term "event planner" , this term is used to describe one who has absolutely no clue how to give a fun party,arrange a successful gathering, plan a vacation or tour or coordinate any kind of happening time..........

Quick Time Event

A method of "gameplay" developed for video games, a 'quick time event' is a section of a game where you are only required to press specific buttons when they show up on screen. Usually, if a player misses a button press during a 'quick time event', the player's character dies.
I love Heavy Rain, but it seems like the game is a little too filled with quick time event based fight scenes rather than a really dynamic fighting system.

Eventing

Eventing is an equestrian event which comprises dressage, cross-country and show jumping. This event has its roots in a comprehensive cavalry test requiring mastery of several types of riding. Eventing is an equestrian triathlon, in that it combines three different disciplines in one competition set out over one day (one day event) or three days (three day event).

Eventing is a kick ass sport!!!! there is nothing else like it!!
