Intelligence amplification, or I.A.
Humans increase their knowledge and wisdom and are smarter in making decissions by pooling their knowledge with other people and with computers.

He may not be the smartest guy on Wall Street but his intelligence amplification techniques greatly increase his ability to think. Now with a lot of moral amplification he should be able to use his moral compass to chart a new course in life.

When something is "amplified" it's very warm of very cold. An exaggeration of temperature.

"Dude, I'm sweating out here!"
"Yea, it's so amplified."

"I'm wearing layers today!"
"The weather is very amplified indeed"

amplifier

The thing that puts out the voltages and frequencies that allow speakers to "do their thang". It can be built into them or, if it isn't, be a seperate appliance or in a stereo unit.

My speakers don't go loud enough, they need a more powerful amplifier!

Derivative of the verb "amped"

To be amped means to be excited, focused, ready for action

Used when you're hyped up, energized, feeling good

Opposite use is deampified
