A large, urban school, AHS is extremely diverse, with students from over 200 different nations. It is perhaps because of its diversity and size (although no one is quite sure of the actual number of AHS students) that Albany High is a place where students feel free to be themselves instead of feeling pressure to conform to any social standards.
While perhaps not the highest-rated school academically, Albany offers a wide array of AP classes and has just recently introduced the International Baccalaureate Program (IB) for students seeking a well-rounded and universal program of study. Albany High also has dozens of clubs and activities open to all students.

These young men summer in Nantucket and the Bahamas and consume ungodly alcohol when they aren't breaking academic records. Prep and Landon kids wish they got in. The typical STA student will graduate high school after tearing it up in LAX or Baseball, and go on to an IVY league school where they will get with all the hot chicks. Then, they will either become a famous politician like graduate Al Gore(absolute hoss) or they will go on to make millions in private equity. Either way, they will have a hot wife and live in a giant house.

Established in 1814, this institution is highly devoted to the health of its students, which would explain the diet mayo and confiscation of white bread: not to mention the embargo on flip-flops, as they are an obvious fire hazard. And, of course, physical education takes absolute priority: seniors who cannot write an adequate paper for PE because they have to "study for APs" are clearly not qualified to graduate.
