Example 1 -

Guy 1: "Hey did you guys catch the basketball game last night. It was incredib-"
Guy 2 (interjects): "I love finding the z-score of everything!"
Guy 1: "I was telling a story. Stop being such a statisdick."

Example 2 -

Teacher: "I know you guys have 3 essays due tomorrow, so I'll just assign you 10 pages of really hard Stats homework tonight. Sound good?"

Student (after class): "That guy is such a statisdick."

Naysayer Bullshit Statistic

The law known as the "Naysayer Bullshit Statistic" means that at least 50% of people with a highly negative view of something are poorly informed about it, haven't tried it to its full potential or are just plain making stuff up to satisfy their bias opinion regardless of whether they know they're wrong or not.

Person who hasn't tried Stereo-3D: "3D is a fad"

Person with common sense: "You sir, fall into the Naysayer Bullshit Statistic"

Statistic'd

When a person offers up statics during a casual conversation to prove his or her point. However, the stats are not a product of research , but instead a product of here-say. This can be highly annoying because it is difficult to argue with made up stats, considering the vast modes of gathering and processing data related to a phenomenon.

Friend 1: I think I want to go to Law school.

Friend 2: I wouldn't do that dude, 56% of people who have law degrees work in another profession.

Friend: Damn, I better not then . . . (while thinking, "this dude has some made up number to attach to everything" I hate when I get statistic'd by this dude)

Ordering in a restaurant . . .

Girl: I'll have the Rib eye, rare . . .

Guy: I wouldn't do that, this place uses inorganic beef and each time you order beef here, you are destroying 2.5 acres of farm land.

Girl: I prefer not to get statistic'd when I'm ordering
