Phrase used to describe something which is not heterosexual, it would literally be applied toward homosexuality. It is, however, more often applied pejoratively to negative situations, being used in place of gay when saying that something is lame or stupid.

An inbetween between bisexual and straight. A person who is mainly straight but does sometimes find the same gender appealing. Most of them could imagine having a homosexual relationship, but they mainly have heterosexual relationships.

heterodyne

is a signal processing technique invented in 1901 by Canadian inventor-engineer Reginald Fessenden that creates new frequencies by combining or mixing two frequencies. Heterodyning is used to shift one frequency range into another, new one, and is also involved in the processes of modulation and demodulation. The two frequencies are combined in a nonlinear signal-processing device such as a vacuum tube, transistor, or diode, usually called a mixer. In the most common application, two signals at frequencies f1 and f2 are mixed, creating two new signals, one at the sum f1 + f2 of the two frequencies, and the other at the difference f1 − f2. These new frequencies are called heterodynes. Typically only one of the new frequencies is desired, and the other signal is filtered out of the output of the mixer. Heterodynes are the mathematical dual of the phenomenon of "beats" in acoustics.

A major application of the heterodyne process is in the superheterodyne radio receiver circuit, which is used in virtually all modern radio receivers.

I thought heterodyne meant the oral copulation of a heterosexual.

Heather

Heather is beautiful, honest, down to earth and straight-up unbelievable. She likes keeping to herself and usually doesn’t let people into her life, her private life is known only by a lucky few. And if you’re lucky enough to get to know heather, you’re in for a treat. Her eyes are like the Caribbean, she’s a woman you can’t get out of your mind once you’ve met her and you can’t live without once you know her. Once you’ve kissed her you’re hooked. She has many boys wanting her but she’ll only go for someone who is a challenge to her. She’s not a whore but definitely not innocent, she will blow you mind in bed and really knows how to seduce a guy and turn them on to the point where it’s almost painful.
