Galactic Force Band

An obscure funk/disco group that released one album, "Spaced Out Disco" in 1978. They would've been shoved into the dust bin of obscurity were it not for this one little tune called "Space Dust". Somehow, this funky little jam attracted attention & has been sampled in numerous songs, including: "It Takes Two" by Rob Base & DJ E-Z Rock, "I Wanna Rock" by Snoop Dogg, "Old Skool" by Dizzie Rascal, etc...

Ed: Yo man, this song's got a real fly beat goin' on. I think I heard that beat from somewhere...

Fred: That's from the Galactic Force Band.

Ed: Really? Never heard of them dudes before.

Galactic Senate

At the height of its rule, the Galactic Republic was governed by a body of Senators representing the many worlds of the galaxy. Within the cavernous Senate rotunda, hundreds of politicians would fill the viewing platforms that lined the curved walls. When a Senator wished to speak, the platform would detach and float to the center of the auditorium for all to see.

As the Republic grew, so too did graft and corruption. Like the greatest of trees, able to withstand attack from the outside, the Republic began to rot from within. Interest in the common good fell to individual agendas. Senators accumulated wealth and influence by exploiting a bureaucracy too bloated and sluggish to stop them.

This all changed when Palpatine declared himself Emperor and instituted a New Order. He did away with the corruption, and by the time of the Galactic Civil War, the Senate was disbanded.

Band that could use three chords and with three members, create the most expansive atmosphere your parent's basement/your room has ever been pumped full of.
-Created an entire masterpiece song about going to a gas station and buying twinkies and a coke.

-Created entire masterpiece song pondering the mania which ensues when weather reports predict a snow storm.
-Known for staring at walls, making noises like dogs and wanting to be your fucking tugboat captain, girl.

Galaxie 500 is the music that plays in the 90's every time someone like Keanu Reeves or Hope Sandoval brushes the hair out of their face and induces general slow motion.
