Colorguard

A colorguard is the four person team that posts and retrieves the American flag (definition applies to other countries, but I'm American so...). A colorguard is made up of a senior rifle, a senior flag (the colorguard commander), a junior flag, and a junior rifle. Do not be fooled by the failures that are the previous definitions of colorguard. We are not some gay extension of a marching band staffed with only girls and homosexual guys, we are an elite group of highly trained men and women. We do not spin around rifles and flags. Yes, colorguard is an extremely time consuming activity, but it is well worth it. Through colorguard I have made friends that I will have untill the day I die. True colorguards are used by the U.S. Army, The United States Marine Corps, The U.S. Navy, The United States Air Force, The Coast Guard, and the Civil Air Patrol. The boy scouts have colorguards, but they have little training and lack the proper training mindset.

Colorguard is more than flags and rifles. Colorguard is more than what people's stereotypical minds understand. Colorguard is a unique experience that teaches discipline and respect.

1) The sluts that want to wear the usually skintight outfits.

2) The fat sluts that think they look good in the skintight outfits.

3) Gay guys.

Spectator 1: "Whoa, why is there a team of whales on the football field?"

1. If you're military... Respect.
2. If you're at the collegiate level, props, cuz that some hard shit, and you also might be fine
3. If you're high school you most likely not fine, and think color guard is hard shit but i've seen some overweight, out of shape, uncoordinated girls get that shit down and thats not saying much.

Sure cheerleaders are self-centered cunts, but they're atleast hot....the colorguard girls are the same...just not as hot...sometimes not even hot at all.

Colorguard

Not dance. Not cheer. Not gymnastics. Cologuard incorporates techniques and moves from these, but only the most basic of them. Not dancers. Not cheerleaders. Not gymnasts. Unless of course there is prior training you are none of these. These sports require an insane amount of muscle, coordination(which props to you, you guys do have to focus incredibly hard and have crazy coordination), musicality, technique, discipline, training, flexibility, and TIMING TIMING TIMING, someone guard is almost always off, and please point your toes and straighten your legs. You guys do a lot of these, but not in the same way or with the same mastery and professionalism. High school colorguard is cool and totally a sport, but you are NOT DANCERS, GYMNASTS, OR CHEERLEADERS!!!

Cg kid: does a sodecha with bent legs and flexed feet* “Colourgaurd is way harder than dance”
Cg kid: does a cartwheel with absolutely no form* “Cheerleaders are so stupid and they can’t even do stunts”
Cg kid: does a backbend and complains all week* “colourgaurd is way harder than gymnastics. We do acrobatics all the time”
Dancer: shakes head* “those are supposed to be jazz runs?”
Cheerleader: “I’m the stupid one? At least I can count”
Gymnast: “That was good execution???”

Colorguard

in high school- a group of fat ugly cows that was rejected from any sort of cheerleading, dance team, or theatre, and wish to be accepted to some sort of group, so they hang out with all the other hideous rejects by getting together and parading around a football field twirling flags and annoying the drumline and usually taking points away from a superior band because they're so uncoordinated that can't move their hands and walk at the same time. every now and then, there is a pretty and skinny girl who does colorguard because her instrument isn't in a marching band; ie oboe, bassoon, etc.

college level and above- a group of highly skilled and extremely attractive girls and maybe a gay guy who leave audiences in awe with the art of flag twirling.

in highschool, colorguard is a joke. whenever they run by, the drumline always yells, "STAMPEDE!"

in college, the colorguard is made up of a bunch of hotties in sexy outfits. they also twirl flags really well.
