Stands for "virtually zero-effort", and refers to helpful activities dat a social worker provides to a particular client dat does not require any significant physical effort, such as merely fellowshipping and verbally interacting with said person in need, sitting with and/or accompanying him around da house and performing simple "hold/lift this and push/pull that" actions while said homeowner tackles basic household tasks, transporting da client short distances to run errands, and so on.

I super-appreciate da various community-support folks who periodically stop by and help me wif various "cranky 'n' tedious" undertakings, so I make an effort to perform most of da truly-difficult parts of da tasks myself, and thus merely ask said helpers for v.z.e. assistance whenever reasonably possible.

pawsonal assistant

As we move forward in time, a significant fraction of the human population is rejecting speciesism that humans all over the world are conditioned to. As the non-speciestic movement grows, more people are adopting non-human animals and providing them shelter in their homes. Like children, non-human animals need care on a daily basis and in some cases, need someone to be available at all times. It is inevitable that the adopting human might not be able to give care at all times and will need to hire a pawsonal assistant during these times to care for their non-human animal companions.

As Maria foresees traveling once a month, she is hiring a pawsonal assistant for her best friend, Foxy.

Community Assistant

A Community Assistant (CA), otherwise known as a Resident Assistant (RA), is one of the most hardworking yet underpaid workers in state universities and colleges. Usually assigned to a particular wing or floor of a residence hall, CA's are responsible for maintaining their group of residents (usually first and second year students), doing endless paperwork, planning activities with a tiny budget, and enforcing residence hall policies. CA's are usually "on duty" with another CA every few days. Although many people dislike CA's and see them only as authority figures, good CA's care about their residents and want to help them. CA's put up with a lot of bullshit from programming requirements, drunk people, residents with behavioral and emotional problems, and the stress of balancing homework with the job. However, the CA position looks great on a resumé if you can survive it.
