Amusement park hangover

The feeling you get the day after going to an amusement park, particularly when you spend all day on intense rides. Symptoms include hoarse voice, headache, fatigue, and general pains.

Sam just got back from Cedar Point. He feels bad now, but when he wakes up he'll still have an amusement park hangover.

We are not amused

A term supposedly uttered by Queen Victoria (there's no evidence of this), this term is often linked with royalty to satirically point out their snobbishness. This meme can also be found online with pictures of a discontent Queen Elizabeth II as well.

"There is a tale of the unfortunate equerry who ventured during dinner at Windsor to tell a story with a spice of scandal or impropriety in it. ‘We are not amused,’ said the Queen when he had finished.”

Well, i'm glad you find this so amusing

A phrase that is never used literally, but rather is always a response to someone's laughing or poking fun at a problem the person has reason to be seriously concerned about. Sometimes this reproach is, itself, used in a half-amused, bantering way.

"The doctor said that I tested negative for cervical cancer, so I won't be at risk of infertility after all."
"Good to hear that it didn't render your reproductive organs totally out of cervix."
"Well, I'm glad you find this so amusing."

Not Amused

A face caused by an event in which one or more people try to be funny or amusing, and one or more people on the receiving side give a combination the death stare and vagrancy that simply says "Fuck You, Please Die Now."

I was at one of those school presentations and when the principal made a joke, everyone was Not Amused.
