tomahawk

A type of car accident where two cars are moving in a similar direction and one car merges, curving into the other car, with the entire impact in one corner. Typically the corner of the colliding car impacts the target car in the side.

History:
A T-bone accident is where one car strikes another perpendicularly in the side with the impact spread across the whole front of the colliding car. the T-Bone accident is so named from the shape of a T-Bone steak.
Similarly, the Tomahawk accident is so named after the shape of a tomahawk steak - which is a curved bone and all the meat in one corner.
As i was driving straight, in my own lane, she tomahawked me from the side.

Tomahawk 1440

A dramatic action on skis or a snowboard in which the rider crashes and turns end-over-end four consecutive times for a 1440 degree spin. This gives them the appearence of a spinning Tomahawk, hence the name.

Featured in Warren Miller's "Playground", a ski-enthusiast movie.
Skier: "Oh man, look at that guy swerving."

Snowboarder: "Yup, he's going down."

Skier: "Wait for it...wait for it...OH! Down he goes!"

Snowboarder: "One, two, three..."

Skier: "Hell yeah! That's four turns!"

Snowboarder: "Tomahawk 1440, bitches!"

Skier: "He's gonna be feeling that for a good week!"
