A euphemism for douche bag, perfect for the work setting. The origin of this meaning most certainly came from a computer science setting, where the term "database" is thrown around so much it was eventually used as a derogatory term.

Boss: "So, what do you think of our new general manager?"
Me: "That guy's a real database."
Boss: "Yes, I suppose he does store a lot of information. (chuckles)"

Data Panik

Data Panik is a Scottish band, 3/5 coming from the departed band "Bis". Their music can't be labeled, as they branch off into all kinds of styles. They've got a very dedicated fanbase who loves them dearly, and can't wait until they release their debut album.

Thus far, Data Panik has released the songs "Cubis (I Love You)" and "Sense Not Sense", which were very well received by their fans. Other song titles are "Rulers and the States", "Love To Hate You", "Control The Radical", and "Mechanical Love".

Soon Data Panik will take the world by storm, and conquer the music scene!

It originates from World of Warcraft, where Gnomes are playable race and players started calling nerds as data gnomes since it sounds "cooler".

Database Fatigue

Exhaustion related to the monotony and tediousness of working with or designing database applications. Side effects include sleepiness, boredom, numb legs, eye strain, and dislike of Keanu Reeves movies where computers seem interesting.

Ashley went home early after a long day of programming due to Database Fatigue.
