When something valuable or easily broken (e.g. cell phone, game controller, game case) is on the floor and covered by clothes in such a way that misleads you into thinking it is safe to step on.

Tom's new video game was soon stepped on and cracked after being clothered.

Avoid leaving dirty clothes on the floor; you never know what valuables could be clothered by them.
