found the american

A sarcastic response used online (especially on Reddit) when someone makes a comment that assumes U.S. culture, politics, laws, or measurements apply to the entire world. It’s a quick way of pointing out a very America-centric perspective.
Comment: “Wait, you guys don’t celebrate Thanksgiving?”
Reply: “Found the American.”

Pulling an americano

When a charismatic U.S. guy love-bombs and then ghosts or abruptly ends things with a foreign girl. There’s nothing more American than an enthusiastic man calling you incredible on the first date, talking about introducing you to his family and friends on the second, and disappearing without a trace by the third.

Similarly, there’s nothing more American than a watered-down version of what was once a rich Italian espresso, now sold as a café chain favorite. Both shower you with instant comfort, only to leave you bitter and questioning your identity.
“Hey, how’s it going? Still seeing that Brooklyn guy who was all over you?”

“Nah, he is pulling an americano. Haven’t heard from him since he told me I was the best thing that ever happened to him… on our third date.”

Ancient Colored American

A person descended from the early “Colored American” population of the 1800s and 1900s in the United States. These Americans were born and raised in the U.S., shaped by its social and structural systems, and later mis-associated with Africa due to racial assumptions. The term emphasizes historical lineage, American roots, and continuity of identity.

Foundational Black Americans

Foundational Black Americans are those whose ancestors were brought to the United States through the Atlantic slave trade, prior to and during the nation's early development. Their history spans over 400 years and represents a distinct lineage and cultural identity. This designation establishes a necessary distinction between the unique heritage of Black Americans descended from American chattel slavery and that of more recent immigrant communities.
