Facebook Chumming

The practice of luring friends (Facebook Sharks), by throwing "chum" into the water. Chum usually consists of political or religious comments... far too tempting for a Shark to ignore. The water in this case would be status updates and walls.

When someone knows a Facebook Shark is around... Facebook Chumming would be making a comment like:

"The Church isn't interested in money or power...."

When somebody looking over your shoulder tells you to post something on somebody's Facebook page, when you have no desire to leave a message for that person.

Girlfriend: "Hey! Post Happy Birthday" on your nephews Facebook page !"

Me: "I don't even know him. He is my sister's son."

Girlfriend: "Just do it !"

Me: "Yes, m'am-you are a Facebook Proxy."

A picture of a person or group of people showing support for a Facebook music artist/group. To be concidered an OFFICIAL FACEBOOK FAN PHOTO, it must be voluntary by the person or group in the picture. This term was first coined by GOODLOW when a fan made them one.

When you think you know someone, but then you realise you've just seen them on Facebook... sometimes via a friend or sometimes via Facebook Stalking.

Guy 1 "I'm sure I know that girl..."

Guy 2 "I think she's just Facebook Familiar"

...

Guy 1 "I said 'Hey' to this girl the other day, I was sure I knew her from somewhere... but she disagreed"

Guy 2 "Facebook Familiarity - It's a bitch"
