Leftbook

Leftbook is a large group of Facebook members that inhabit facebook groups that promote social justice, memes, and leftist thought (proponents of socialism, communism, and marxist-leninism are all represented in these groups.) They often communicate through tagging other Leftbook groups with funny names, like "what if phones, but too much," "sounds like internalized misogyny but ok" and "thank mr banky."

uber-left

A group of radical Marxists, in other words the "uber left", who believe themselves and/or their political philosophy to be invincible.

Simply put... a philosophy, closely aligned with Marxist thinking, that every aspect of such thinking is infallible... hence "uber-left".

left on read

To read a massage (typically a text or on a messenger app that signals the sender when the message is seen or "read"), knowing the sender is aware that you've seen the message, and to not respond.

While the term was invented in 2016, the action was first perpetrated, pre-Internet, by Shepherd, who in on February 17, 1996, received a written message in person, and still refused to respond. If he ever responded is still unclear.

I texted my father about it last week, but no response. My own father has me left on read.
