Chicago slang for a standard plastic shopping bag that is reused for storage, organizing things or garbage. Named for Jewel-Osco food/drug stores. Sometimes called Jewels bag.

I need to get another Jewel bag since I filled the last one with so much garbage.

a homeless person that carries all of their belongings in plastic garbage bags, and sometimes uses the bags as shelter and bedding. They also get their food from the garbages of restaurants and cart their bags around the streets in shopping cart.

I gave the bag woman on 34th street a bagel yesterday, then she walked over to the garbage and picked up a large bag full of the previous day's leftovers and winked at me.
