To view modern invents or tasks in the "old way of doings things". Not catching onto and using common terminology and modern society advancing ideas.

By saying that it's necessary for someone to continually work hard even though they feel unwell, just because you and your grandparents worked hard is old think. Society should seek to advance until everyone's basic needs are met and beyond without the need to work into absurdity. "Old think" says to continually work hard "above and beyond" even though the job might be a cyclical job, rather than simply performing the jobs tasks satisfactorily and having a better work life load. Ideal society focuses on family not work. The hard work was done building the country, now we can do the easy work of maintaining and upgrading the firmware Little bits at a time.
