designer expression

The affected pratice of setting one's features into a certain fixed pose that supposedly reflects the complex inner world of the wearer. Usually committed during the lighting of cigarettes and often consists of an inquisitively furrowed brow, puckered lips, and an overall air of being interesting. Fails to mask the utter vacuity of the face puller who risks inviting a torrent of scorn and verbal abuse down upon his head should his ruse be noticed for what it essentially is: a transparent effort to attract the admiration of peers and possible sexual partners without recourse to a sense of humour or a personality.

A biking brand that sells pretty looking gear, for a very large sum of money that could otherwise be spent on more practical equipment. Mostly trend whores and rich people purchase this equipment. All thumbs down given are from Owners of TLD (Troy Lee Design) gear because they know they have spent to much money but are afraid to admit it.

design rodeo

A design session held after weeks of prep and just before a deadline. These decisions are made chaotically and without clear justification. This is analogous to "holding on to the horns of a bull until it throws you off". It also infers that the participants are all cowboys.

The designers just came out of a design rodeo that wrecked the solution - what a bunch of cowboys!
