The Sandy Effect

(Noun) - the process of elaborate, underhanded, yet whimsical deceit of an unwitting stranger, usually emphasizing the use of telecommunication devices and web-based social networking forums and/or media platforms. The Sandy Effect cannot be borne through malicious intent, only through the serendipitous collision of an unsuspecting victim and an unsuspecting "Sandy."

Person 1: Did you hear about Stacey? She wasted the whole week texting some random guy who she thought was her TA.
Person 2: Oh snap, no way! Another victim of "The Sandy Effect"...

spandex monkey

Uber bicyclist completely clad in spandex. Often the spandex suit is covered with logos of corporations and other brand names to make it look as if they were sponsored racers - the irony being they actually paid to be a rolling advertisement. They often tend to be aggressive riders in inappropriate settings, like public trails.

While riding on the trail yesterday, I was passed by a clod of spandex monkeys.
