(Pronounced Fi-li-pin-eks)

North Americans of Filipino Descent.

While proud of their heritage, due to the cultural differences of their community with the Philippine Population, especially with issues of gender and racial inclusivity, they could not fully identify themselves as Filipino. Hence, the need to coin a new term to describe their identity.

This has also brought about the birth of a new dialect within the Filipino Language, the Filipinx Dialect, which seeks to correct words that they have deemed non-inclusive. Examples of which are Titx (For Uncles and Aunts) and Lolx (For Grandparents)

Etymology:

Filipino-ex

Filipino - refers to the inhabitants or descendants of the Philippine Nation
Ex - Prefix or Suffix to denote former

I am a Filipinx. My Filipino grandparents migrated to the USA in the 70s, and our family has been here ever since. I was born here, and I grew up here. I don't fully speak a Philippine Native Language, but would like to learn, especially if it could be more inclusive to other genders and races.

Pacific Islanders are like people from Samoa, Tonga, Cook Is etc. Filipino's act black and think they can fight but really they just asians with darker skin. so thats ALL you need to know about the filipino race. So when you see a filipino say to them "stop tryin to be black... your not" and dont worry because they wont do anything as long as your with a samoan/tongan...!!
