Emo kid

"Emo" is shortened form of "Emotical Hardcore" which may refer to either the way of dressing or the music genre.

"Emo kids" are correctly kids who choose to style themselves in a certain way (often with bangs hanging above one or both of the eyes) or listen to certain music (such as Sleeping With Sirens).

"Emo" or "Emo kid" may today also incorrectly refer to people who self harm (most likely cut) or complain about how there life situation sucks to get attention on social media

Correct example: "I love the hairstyle of these Emo kids!"

Incorrect example: "Have you seen his arms? I'm sure he is seeking attention, he is such an Emo"

Emo Flu

An illness suffered the day after going to a concert or music festival, especially Warped Tour, in the summer. Contracted by drinking from community water cups and being in close proximity to large groups of sweaty people.

I think I got the Emo Flu from the community water cup being passed down from the front row yesterday. It was just so hot and I didn't want to lose my place to see the All American Rejects.
