AS/400

A kick-ass mid-range computer invented by IBM. Long family tree going back to System/3 (and probably before). Updated through the years at hardware and software levels and today forms a very fine platform on which to build quality enterprise systems. Oh yeah, and don't forget RPG (Report Program Generator) one of the dogs of the programming language world that seems to follow AS/400 round.

IBM have now started calling them iSeries eServers or some old bollocks like that. Whatever. To droves of ageing programmers (who still think the RPG Debugging Template, flowchart stencils, Dire Straits, Jethro Tull, real ale, war gaming and cricket) are all 'cool', they represent a rock to cling to.

Phrase used to indicate your status as unfit for more then flirting with and then laughing at your awkward advances later with your stupid ugly friends, not that I am bitter, I'm over you ... really.

Please take your tongue out of my ear I like you as a friend.

As-Boy

An under 16 youth with a highly desirable ASBO. Common among chavs and hailed as such. An As-Boy is easily recognised by his Primark/Eisenegger/Mad house clothing and especially so by his refusal to remove his wooly hat when in doors.

As-Boy are usually in a bad mood just incase someone thinks that they are not cool or hard.

Try to think of an As-Boy as a pikey that doesn't travel.

Sometimes you'll see a youngster unlocking his bike, only to realise he's not unlocking it, he's hacksawing his way through the lock. Upon the realization some people will exclaim, "OI! As-Boy, get off that bike or I'll kick your teeth in!" while other people will mutter to them selves "I forking hate As-Boys"
