Usually people labeled as yuppies are hippie adjacent and profess progressive values on every axis except fiscal.
Growing up amongst a whole bunch of hippies, I was instilled with a healthy distrust of the goddamn Yuppies who act fiscally progressive but perpetuate the entire system of exploitation. As much as hippies suck, yuppies are even worse.
