A slang term for a ballistic vest. It is referring to the WW II tank M4 Sherman.

That bar is the kind of place the cops don't come in unless they wear a Sherman tank top.

Huge SUV that fits 8 or more passengers. 3/4 ton heavy duty capable of towing at least 10,000lbs. Equipped with a Diesel engine that has exhaust modified for maximum noise while at idle or cruising down the road. Weighs a minimum of 4 tons. The SUV is basically a tank but for urban applications.
